Sarah-Jane Upton

Principal

SJ is the founder and principal of SJP Theatre Arts based in the Midlands. She trained at Laine Theatre Arts at 18 years old receiving a personal scholarship from Betty Laine funding her three years of training studying all genres of dance as well as singing and acting.

SJ has starred in TV commercials as well as performing on stage at Birmingham Hippodrome, Wolverhampton The Grand and Cardiff New Theatre. She has choreographed a number of shows such as Cabaret, Sweet Charity, Wedding Singer, Seussical the Musical, Great British Games for the Heart or Worcestershire college.In addition choreographed for the Worcester Olympic Ceremony, Worcester Wolves and Worcester Warriors.

SJP Theatre Arts has more classes than ever before including three troupes: Incognito, Notorious and Shockwave who perform across the Midlands, hopefully with many more exciting opportunities to come!
