Who it is for
Children aged 4 and over. Tap suits children who love rhythm and noise, and it gives quick wins: most students can make a real sound pattern in their first class.
No experience is needed, and it pairs well with Ballet or Jazz & Commercial.
What happens in a class
- Warming up the feet Basic sounds and ankle work to switch the feet on.
- New sounds and steps One new step at a time, slowly, then up to speed.
- Combinations across the floor Joining steps into travelling patterns and rhythms.
- A routine everyone knows A class favourite to finish loud and together.
Where it can lead
One of the quickest routes to a first medal or graded examination, and a place in the show.
